Healing FacilitatorHealing facilitator is a profession that not everybody knows about. However, as our lives become more stressful – with competing pushes and pulls at home and in the office – healing facilitators will become more integral in keeping us happy, healthy, and whole. As a healing facilitator, I utilize a wide range of therapeutic tools and techniques to help clients reset their stories, build an empowering narrative, and move closer to living the life that they want. Biography and Healing Journey
I am a licensed massage therapist, teacher, and C.O.R.E. counseling practitioner, as well as a member of the adjunct faculty at Springfield College. Like with many healing practitioners, my story began with my own illness and personal journey to health following a lengthy unexplained disease that had no treatment. During this (sometimes difficult) process, I explored various holistic modalities and looked at how they fostered improved psychological and spiritual health. But, the transformation was not specific to just me. I have seen profound changes in my clients once they have harnessed the power of their bodies and minds and fully bought into their capabilities. I have found that a shift in thinking can have a profound effect on someones life, Wheter it is from illness, a difficult time, or an unexpected expense, these "crisises" are also an opportunity for healing. I get a tremnsous amount of joy when I help my clients unravel the story so they can heal their pain and make that shift. I have trained at the Light Institute (Galisteo, New Mexico), studied craniosacral therapy at The Upledger Institute Europe (Netherlands), and studied massage therapy at the New Mexico Academy for Healing Arts. After moving to the United States in 1991, I completed a Doctorate in C.O.R.E. counseling from the American Society of Alternative Therapists in 2008. I currently teach at North Jersey Massage Training Center and at Ganesha Institute. In the past, I have served as Cortiva Institute’s Director of Continuing Education at both their Boston and Hoboken locations. I currently care for clients at The Healing Coop, Inc., and I have also written and delivered extensive continuing education courses for massage therapists. I am a Board member at Cancer Connection and have previously served as the Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Massage Therapy. |
